Overview

HawkHero helps you create marketplace listings by analyzing photos of items you want to sell. The app sends your photos to our secure backend server, which processes them using artificial intelligence to generate listing titles, descriptions, pricing estimates, and tags. We do not sell your data, run analytics, or track how you use the app.

What We Collect

HawkHero collects the minimum data needed to operate the service:

• Device identifier · a random ID generated on your device, used to associate your listings and manage your subscription. This is not linked to your name or any personal information.
• Photos you submit · sent to our backend for AI analysis and stored on our server alongside the generated listing. Photos remain until you delete the listing from within the app.
• Usage counts · we track the number of scans per day for rate limiting. No content is logged.
• Subscription status · if you subscribe, we store your transaction ID and expiration date to verify your access.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, or any other personal information. There is no HawkHero account or sign up form.

How Your Photos Are Processed

When you snap a photo, HawkHero sends it to our backend server over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Our server forwards the image to Google Gemini, an AI service operated by Google, which analyzes the photo and returns listing details. The generated listing is sent back to your device and also stored on our server so you can access your listing history across sessions. Your photos are stored on our server until you delete the listing.

Artificial Intelligence Disclosure

HawkHero uses Google Gemini (provided by Google LLC) as its AI processor. When you scan an item, your photo is sent to Google's Gemini API for analysis. Google processes the image to identify the item and generate listing information.

Google's handling of data sent to the Gemini API is governed by Google's API Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review these policies.

AI generated content (titles, descriptions, prices) is provided as a starting point. You should review and edit listings before posting them to any marketplace.

Local Storage

Your listing history, including titles, descriptions, price ranges, and tags, is also saved locally on your device for offline access. Photos and listings are stored on our server and can be deleted individually or in bulk from within the app. Deleting the app removes local data; to remove server side data, delete your listings first or email [email protected].

Subscriptions and Payments

HawkHero offers an optional subscription for unlimited scans, processed entirely through your platform's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play). We never receive or store your payment information. Your platform handles all billing. We only receive a transaction identifier to verify your subscription status.

Third Party Services

HawkHero integrates with the following third party services:

• Google Gemini API · processes your photos to generate listings (see AI Disclosure above)
• Apple StoreKit / Google Play Billing · processes subscription payments on iOS and Android respectively

We do not integrate any analytics, advertising, social login, or fingerprinting services.

No Advertising

HawkHero does not display ads and does not participate in any ad network.

Children's Privacy

HawkHero is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Data Security

All communication between the app and our backend uses HTTPS encryption. Photos are stored securely on our server and retained only until you delete the associated listing. Device identifiers are random and not linked to personal information. We follow industry standard practices to protect the data we do handle.

Your Control Over Your Data

Your listing history lives on your device. Delete the app to remove it. To request deletion of any server side data associated with your device identifier, email [email protected].

Changes To This Policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above and note the change in the app's release notes.
